1. Who we are
1600 SAT Lab ("we," "us," or "our") is a sole proprietorship based in Seoul, South Korea, that publishes and sells original digital test-preparation materials for the Digital SAT. By purchasing or using our products, you ("you" or "the customer") agree to these Terms of Service.
2. What we sell
We sell digital products — original practice tests, questions, explanations, and study guides — delivered electronically as PDF files. Our products are independent educational materials. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or reviewed by the College Board. Digital SAT®, SAT®, and College Board® are registered trademarks of the College Board, which is not involved in the production of, and does not endorse, this product. All passages, questions, answer choices, and explanations are original content created independently and are not copied or derived from official College Board materials.
3. License and acceptable use
When you purchase a product, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use it for your own individual test preparation. You may print a copy for your personal use.
You may not, without our prior written permission:
- Resell, sublicense, rent, lend, or otherwise commercially distribute the PDF or its contents;
- Redistribute, share, upload, post, or publish the files or their contents in any form, whether free or for sale — including to tutoring platforms, study groups, file-sharing sites, social media, or messaging channels;
- Use the content in paid tutoring sessions, courses, or commercial products without a separate license;
- Remove or alter the buyer watermark, disclaimer pages, or copyright notices; or
- Translate, modify, reproduce, or create derivative works from the questions or explanations, in whole or in part.
All content remains the intellectual property of 1600 SAT Lab. Every PDF we deliver is watermarked with the purchaser's name, email, and a unique buyer ID, embedded both visibly (in the page footer) and invisibly (in the file metadata). Redistributed copies remain traceable to the original buyer, and license violations may result in revocation of access and other legal remedies.
4. Email delivery
Products are delivered electronically to the email address you provide at checkout, typically within minutes of a successful payment. It is your responsibility to provide a valid, working email address and to check your spam or promotions folder if you do not see the delivery. If you have not received your product within a reasonable time, contact us at support@1600satlab.com.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by our third-party payment provider. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are charged as a one-time purchase unless otherwise stated. We do not store your full payment card details.
6. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In short: because our products are digital and delivered immediately, all sales are final, except that a documented factual error in a question or answer key reported within 30 days of purchase and confirmed by us will be corrected and reissued at no charge, or refunded.
7. Disclaimer
Our materials are provided for educational and practice purposes only. While we work hard to mirror the format and difficulty of the Digital SAT, we do not guarantee any particular score, test result, or admissions outcome. Products are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Any scoring guide we provide gives approximate raw-to-scaled score estimates only. These estimates are not psychometrically calibrated, are not derived from item response theory analysis, and must not be treated as predictive of actual Digital SAT scores. The official Digital SAT uses adaptive routing between modules; our practice tests are non-adaptive. Use any scoring guide only as a directional reference.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 1600 SAT Lab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, our products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the product.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea (South Korea), without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Seoul, South Korea.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in effect at the time of your purchase governs that purchase. Continued use of our products after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
